The God of More than Enough
Today´s Scripture:"..the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, 'I am Almighty God" (Romans 12:11, NIV).
Today´s Word:
Zeal is simply another word for passion. I've noticed that too many people today have lost their passion and enthusiasm for life. At one time, they were excited about their dreams and got up every day with purpose and passion. But now, because time has passed and they've experienced disappointments, they're not excited about those dreams anymore.… Continue

Continue in the Faith
Today´s Scripture:
"If indeed you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard…"
(Colossians 1:23, NAS).
Today´s Word:
Have you been holding on to a promise or dream in your heart that seems to be taking a long time? When things don't go the way we've planned, it's easy to get discouraged and feel tempted to give up. But God wants to breathe new life into your dreams. He wants to b… Continue

It has been long since I've been on the network. I just want to share what has been going on in my life and why I was away for quite a few months for the glory and Honor of God. Only Him could change the impossible to possible if you believe.
My husband decided in Dec. of 2008 that he did not wanted to serve… Continue
I can't tell you how many times I have been hurt by 'leadership'. I know we all make mistakes, but when you and your husband repeatedly have to go to your 'leader' to confront him on his behavior being hurtful, then perhaps it's time to deal with it in a more direct manner. The Bible says to go one on one, then two on one, then you can take a third person, if he/she still doesn't reconcile, repent, and work on rebuilding the relationship, it is then that we have the authority of Jesus Christ to… Continue
I think this is something we all really need to realize, we can and should be praying with authority. Jesus Christ Our Lord said 'Greater works will you do' I will be writing about this in an upcoming article at AGMinistries very soon. I hope you'll come by and get subscribed by email.
We have the right and the authority to pray in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. He said if you ask anything of my father in my name He will do it. We just need to walk in this reality and have explosive victory… Continue

My husband works shifts, and yesterday he was gone from 2:30 til 12:20am. he woke up at 7am and won't be home until after midnight sometime. So my kids haven't seen dad since lunch time yesterday- and won't see him until tomorrow morning sometime. This plays on their emotions and while they may not say "I want dad or I miss dad" they do and they in turn drive me crazy! my 4 year old had a breakdown while trying to clean up her clothes on her floor. the 2 year old drew on my carpet! AHHHHH. I'm g… Continue
Wow has it ever been way tooo long posting an update here!!! I've been really busy with my VA business, which is GREAT, not to mention all the activities summer has brought.
Looking at my photos here, you will see I was blessed by a visit from my sister, who is the other 1/2 of Open Talk Mom, Christie Garcia. She and her family were here for just over 3 weeks, and we had a great time!!! I wish she were still here; it's not the same without her.
Well, as you can see, the title of this blog post… Continue
I'm not one to brag normally, but I have to share that I'm now working out thanks to EA Sports' Active (Wii game platform). A few weeks ago I won a copy of the brand new game and Thursday it made it's appearance on my doorstep.
I started that night with a 28 minute workout that kicked my bootie! Wow - I didn't realize just how out of shape I really am. So much for the "I get my exercise chasing kids" excuse. ;)
I'm happy to report that I have worked out 4 of the last 5 days and I feel so much… Continue

As a single mom the one thing I look forward to the most (hopefully it doesn't sound horrible saying this! LOL) is every other weekend when my son goes to his dads house. This is my down time. My me time. My whatever I feel like doing I do time. But most importantly it's my time to regroup and get ready for the next couple weeks!
During the couple weeks before my next break I'm always looking forward to the break coming up but as soon as he's gone I miss him. Right now I miss him sooooo much! H… Continue

Wow!! All I can say is how excited I am about this latest project! For those of you that know me personally, know that it really doesn't take much to excite me but this project has me super excited, if that's possible!
First off, I want to tell you that this is NOT a religious based program. That is always the first impression people will get when they learn about Reserved Only. However, it is actually a program that every parent should be involved in. Yes, it's true that I believe abstinence i… Continue
You have strong convictions, but President Obama says that doesn’t matter. He’s ready to rescind the Conscience Clause.
The Conscience Clause was implemented by former President George W. Bush to give physicians and nurses the choice to act according to their conscience — to not participate in abortion procedures if it conflicts with their personal convictions. If President Obama makes this damaging move, if he reverses the Conscience Clause, pro-life doctors and nurses will be forced into perf… Continue
Today I was in a get together at a local bookstore. I was talking to a dear friend and we got to a conversation about depression and how when you are depress other people seem to think that it's as easy as 1,2,3 to get out of it.
She mentioned how the pressure that people put on you to get out of… Continue
Funny how most of the time we start off a new year thinking about our weight and how we are going to conquer those unwanted pounds. I started with the best of intention in January, but it is the beginning of March and I have not shed any of those unwanted pounds. You know what? Its okay – sometimes life gets in the way. Things happen and you get off track. The important thing is to get going again. At least that’s what I do. So here are some tips I have found helpful to revisit. It helps me to s… Continue

Satan, Society, or Savior?
"Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed."
--John 8:36
There are three forces at work in the life of the demon-possessed man in Mark 5. First there is Satan. Just like a roaring lion, Satan had already come into that man, intending to destroy him (see 1 Peter 5:8).
Next, there was society. What had society done for him? They had chained him up, but he broke the chains. What else could they do?
Society couldn't solve t… Continue

That seems like a valid question. Haven’t you ever thought about it? If asked that question could you answer it? I don’t think I could without pondering on it somewhat. So why not give it some thought? Let’s do it together. I always like to start with defining key words when I do a study. It helps clarify my subject and often gives me a foundation to build on. Thus, let’s start with the word value. What do we exactly mean when we use that word? The word value can be used as a noun or as a verb.… Continue
I hardly ever get super annoyed, in fact it's rare. But, today I am SUPER annoyed!!! Ugh! It's probably because I'm going to start any second now, but geez, do thing always have to go wrong at once?! And I'm not much of a complainer, so this is a rarity for me. But, since I created Open Talk Mom as a place to rant and vent, I'm gonna!!! So, please bare with me while I get some things off my chest! I promise it will, it better get better by the end of this post. LOL.
Ugh! It all started with me… Continue
